When coming to shop at Wee-Cycle It, it’s important to be prepared. Below is a helpful list for you to make your shopping experience easier and more productive.
- Bring a list of the items that you need and what you are looking for – make sure to know sizes in advance; bring a tape measure and/or a traced footprint of your child.
- Make a plan before you come. Check out the items that you need the most, FIRST, then move on to other items that aren’t as important.
- A shopping bag, rolling cart, or reusable bag to hold your loot while you shop is helpful. Bags are provided while shopping, but it is also nice to have something in which to take your items home.
- Be considerate of fellow shoppers and consignors and do not hoard all items in your child’s size. Be selective as you shop and let others have an opportunity to look.
- Sometimes it’s a good idea to bring a friend or spouse along, especially if you are pregnant. A large sale can be overwhelming, so it’s nice to have someone to help carry or make decisions.
- Again, be considerate of fellow shoppers and do not block aisles or walkways while sorting through your finds. You may put items that you intend to purchase in the HOLDING area.
- Payments Accepted: We accept Cash or Card, Debit Preferred, for your purchase. We will no longer accept checks.
- Come PREPARED. There will be lots of people, all on the hunt. Don’t come on an empty stomach. : ) Eating before you come is a good idea in order to keep a good attitude!
- Leave your kids with a sitter, if at all possible. It is much easier to shop without distractions, and it’s safer for your kids too!
- Know in advance that you might have to wait in line. Tons of people share the consignment sale love. Think of it as an opportunity to make new friends while you wait to check out. : )
- If you have plans to buy furniture, make sure you take measurements before you come. You want to make sure the item you’re buying will fit where it is intended to go.
- If you’re on a very tight budget, get your favorite items at the beginning of the sale and then return for 25% off on Friday or the ½ off sale Saturday (9am-12 noon) to get “wanted” items that remain.
- Remember we check in all purses, bags and strollers upon exit. Not to invade your privacy, but to keep consignor’s items safe.
- ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!! – “Wee-Cycle It” Children’s Consignment Sale, Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, Woodland Hills Christian Church, its affiliates, and volunteers are not responsible for any item that is lost, stolen, missing tags, or damaged during the sale.
